Todd Waters, PhD

Todd Waters, Ph.D., is an accomplished instructional designer, educator, and communication coach with over 15 years of experience working in higher education and professional development. Based in Washington State, Todd currently serves as an instructional designer and faculty member at community and technical colleges, where he specializes in the design and implementation of competency-based education (CBE) programs and the instruction of communication studies courses.

With a strong focus on applied learning and practical skill-building, Todd partners with colleges, workforce programs, and community organizations to enhance instructional delivery, assessment strategies, and learner outcomes. He is especially passionate about curriculum design, workplace communication, conflict management and resolution, public speaking, and train-the-trainer models, helping individuals and organizations thrive through targeted education and coaching.

Todd works as a consultant and professional coach, supporting faculty, trainers, and emerging leaders throughout the region. His coaching covers a wide range of topics, including conflict navigation, professional presence, presentation skills, and career development—all grounded in research-based methods and tailored to real-world application.

In addition to his work in Washington, Todd has held faculty and instructional consulting positions in Colorado, contributing to the advancement of learning models at both community colleges and universities. He has published and presented nationally on topics such as instructional design, educational assessment, organizational communication, and competency-based education.

Todd holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Assessment from National University, an M.A. in Communication from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), and dual B.A. degrees in Communication and English from UCCS.

Andrew Blick, PhD

Andrew Blick, Ph.D., is an educator, instructional designer, and researcher specializing in technical communication, professional writing, and program development. He has taught courses in technical and professional communication, rhetoric, educational technology, and TESOL, and has held faculty and program leadership roles in higher education.

Andrew’s work emphasizes the design of effective, accessible learning experiences and the integration of assessment and instructional design to improve teaching and learning. He has published and presented on topics such as educational assessment, curriculum development, instructional design, and new media rhetoric, bringing both theoretical depth and practical application to his projects.

With a background spanning technical communication, adult education, linguistics, and bilingual education, Andrew is especially interested in the intersections of language, technology, and learning. His approach bridges research and practice to support diverse learners and foster stronger communication in academic and professional contexts.

He holds a Ph.D. in Technical Communication and Rhetoric, an M.Ed. in Adult Education, and a B.A. in Spanish and Linguistics, along with certificates in Teaching Technical Communication, TESOL, and Bilingual Education.
